CAR CRASHES INTO HOUSE IN EAST SUSSEX
A car has crashed into a house in Eastbourne, burying itself halfway into the building.
The crash happened at about 19:00 BST on Wednesday in Tideswell Road, opposite the Beacon Shopping Centre car park.
The driver and two people inside the property needed assistance from emergency crews, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said in a statement.
The car could not be easily removed, the brigade added.
Police and ambulance were also called to the scene, and photos of the incident showed four fire engines present at one point.
Fire crews said they made the area safer and then handed over to the police to manage the recovery.
